I think it stems from some companies who make a point of telling their staff i.e. dispensers etc., that the reason they are paid so poorly i.e. minumum wage, is because the company has to pay "greedy" pharmacists to work for them, leaving nothing left to pay the deserving staff. The, there's the old chestnut, that the branch is not making a profit, so they can't afford to pay their staff any more. We all know if it wasn't making a profit, it would be closed, but that gets conveniently overlooked, and if people are dumb enough to fall for the "branch budget" which "proves" it's not making money, then there's not much to say to them.
I don't mind pulling my weight and I don't mind shops making a shedload of money, and many do. Just be honest about it - and share the profits out with everyone. Share, not give it all away. Some to the shareholders in dividends, som held back to invest in services, some to all the team. It's ok.
There are some who I wouldn't pay in washers - why not target those characters and get value for money? Oh why did you start me on this? Going to get a new spleen so I can vent it!!!!
